Dear Friends,

My last newsletter was in January this year and the time since then has just flown, as I have, once again clocking up more air miles but having a great time along the way. As usual I will update with a few photos, starting with a shot taken in Monte Carlo a few months ago whilst hosting our first Grand Prix cruise which was a great success.

But back to early 2008. In February I had a rare holiday and caught up with two old friends. Cruised from Hong Kong to Singapore via Vietnam on Silver Whisper with Andrew Robley and then spent a week in Bali (where I celebrated my birthday) with Col Williamson.

In May I hosted a group of 24 on Silver Wind from Monte Carlo to Spain, France and Italy. Highlights included 3 days in Nice, viewing of the Monaco Grand Prix from the balcony restaurant of the Metropole Hotel (pictured below with Joan and John Mousell) and our farewell dinner on board with special guests Stirling and Susan Moss (pictured below with Andrew Robley who was the featured entertainer on our cruise.)

There are more photos from this trip in the photo section of our website

On the way home some of us stopped off in Dubai and spent a memorable couple of days at the Burj al Arab Hotel.

Six six weeks later flew to Broome and spent three days at the Cable Beach Club before hosting a group of our most regular clients on Orion from Broome to Darwin.

Whilst on board Joss Perkins, Norma Parker and myself had a dress rehearsal for the upcoming Darwin Cup. Am pleased to report that on the day itself I actually picked six winners out of seven races and came home a little richer.

Some of the group joined me on a trip to Kakadu. We had a great three days "down the track" before our Darwin Cup Weekend including the Cup Ball at Star City Casino.

It has certainly been a full and enjoyable nine months but the next six months are already planned and I hope that you may be able to join me on one of my upcoming tours.

Most of the trips I will be hosting for the next 12 months are already heavily booked so please have a look at these tours on our website as I would love to have the pleasure of your company again.

COSTA RICA to PAPEETE on SILVER SHADOW – September 2008 I leave on 24th September on this 4 week trip from Central America to South America before cruising the Pacific via Easter Island to Papeete. I will be back in the office on 28th October.

BOXING DAY CRUISE ON TRUE NORTH & NEW YEAR'S CRUISE ON MAJISTIC I - December 2008 This was such a successful trip last year that some of us are repeating this trip again in 2008. Limited space is still available if you would like to join us. See True North page on our website.

ANTARCTIC ADVENTURE ON HANSEATIC- February 2009 This special cruise to the Antarctic Peninsula in February is now fully booked and closed for sale but I will be flying from Buenos Aires to San Francisco at the end of this trip for a two day break (and to celebrate my birthday with friends in my favourite US City) before continuing on to Hong Kong and my next Silversea cruise.

HONG KONG to SHANGHAI on SILVER WHISPER – March 2009 Like many I sat glued to the television during the Olympic Games and marvelled at the sites in Beijing which is one of the reasons that I wanted to host this tour as it has been 20 years since I last visited this city. This 10 day cruise spends two days in Beijing and includes a 3 day post cruise stopover in Shanghai.
For full details see Silversea page on our website.

NICE TO ATHENS on SILVER WIND with Monaco Grand Prix. I am really looking forward to returning to the French Riviera and again hosting lunch in St. Paul de Vence and the amazing experience of lunch on the balcony of the Metropole Hotel viewing the Monaco Grand Prix final The 15 day cruise takes in most of my favourite ports in the Med in Sp;ain, Francis, Italy, Turkey and Greece. Such was the success of the last tour that some guests have rebooked for this departure and currently only 6 spaces still reman available for the Grand Prix Lunch. For full details see Silversea page on our website.

AMSTERDAM to BUDAPEST on TAUCK TOURS ms JEWEL This luxury river cruise has been put together at the request of some of our regular guests and has been heavily prebooked with only 4 cabins still available for sale at this time. Our cruise fare includes all sightseeing, open bar and wine with meals. For brochjure and details see River Cruising page on our website.

Many of these tours are listed in our latest newsletter which will be mailed out and posted to our website next week.

You should have this advice in advance by email or via this closed section of our website and I hope to see you on the high seas in 2009

Lyn Adrian
